RATES and INFOS
 

SEASON 2009 (mid May to mid October)

$185 person/day
$175 person/day in October
$1,260 person/week (=$180 per day)
$1,190 person/week in October (=$170 per day)
$100 person/day for non-riders
There is an additional 10% gratuity charge - due upon arrival at the ranch.

At the current exchange rate (August) one week on the ranch costs GB£685 or CAN$1,320 or Euro850 plus 10% gratuity.

Included:
- lodging and meals, taxes
- riding and all other ranch activities
- bed linens and towels are provided
Not included:
- alcoholic drinks (can be purchased after airport pick-up)
- activities off the ranch
- 10% gratuity (see above)
- airport transfer (see below)
Airport transfer:
- $100 round trip per person or group that booked together
- airport is Rapid City in South Dakota
- the ranch is about 2.5 hours (100 miles) away
- You can also rent a car to come here but you won't need it on the ranch.

conditions:

- the deposit is 25% and due at the time of booking (personal check or money order or transfer onto American or German bank account at the current exchange rate).

- the deposit is non-refundable
- we recommend a travel insurance

- the remainder of the payment is due upon arrival on the ranch (cash, personal checks, money order or traveler checks).

- Sorry, we do not accept credit cards!

Other information:
- Canadian, British and Irish citizens can enter the USA for up to three months without a visa
- Ask for current passport requirements and baggage regulations when booking your flight
This is what you should bring:
- some kind of hat (best with a wide rim), tight boots with a bit of a heel (no riding in tennis shoes), sturdy clothing (layers are recommended in spring and fall), long denim jeans (beginners might want to bring cycling or long underwear).
- The sun is especially strong in this dry and high altitude. Bring high sun protection!
- We don't have many midges but if you are sensitive, bring protection.
- Don't forget a bathing suit for the hot tub and lake.
- Riding helmets are not used in this area but if you want to bring one, go ahead. It's certainly smart.
Insurances:
- Get health insurance for traveling abroad. Many European insurances don't cover the US.

Electronics:
- 110 voltage (hair dryers etc. should be convertible)
- modern electronics like cell/mobile phones and laptop computers can be used at different voltage but Europeans still need a plug-in adaptor
- we don't have cell/mobile phone reception on the ranch but you can buy/bring phone cards
- We don't provide internet service and only two TV channels ... you are here to relax ;-)
